Who We Are

We are ordinary people who want to tell the Epic Story of all time to the people of Malibu. This coastal city is filled with artists in all forms from writers to scuptures, from actors to producers. Artists see the world in a particular slant that makes them unique.

As followers of Jesus Christ, we want to address the particular needs and pressures of those within the art world. We want Epic to be a place of solice where people can be restored from the craziness of the world's demands. We want to offer acts of worship that allow us to catch a fresh glimpse of the majesty of God and His power. Our desire is to worship in fresh unique ways as opposed to worn out repetitive hymn sandwiches that we recite from memory. We desire fresh, bold creative ways of seeing God's face from angles less viewed. In seeing His true reflection we will be stunned by His Holiness, awed by His glory and surrendered to His Lordship.

There is a story to be told in Malibu. God loves this city and the people who live here. Epic seeks to reveal God's purpose for this city through every imaginative way. We want to tell the stories of God in history, of God in Creation, of God as Man. Epic has a desire to loving and reaching those within the entertainment world and presenting Jesus Christ as the One to whom their hearts have longed for.

In finding Jesus Christ we find the touchstone of our creative inspiration. In whatever career we find ourselves, God's refining work can change us, making us more like Him every day. Who we are and who we worship will inspire us to become better role models that the world desperately needs. Epic will use all the elements of the arts and technology to present Jesus Christ. Equally, the church will welcome and nurture all who seek Him with no exclusions.
